ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND SPRING GET-TOGETHER

The AGM Brochure and accounts can now be viewed and downlaoded from the Members Area of the website.
(A heritage bus service will operate between the railway station and the centre throughout the day and call at the Premier Inn – Central Crewe during the morning) See the bottom of this notice for the bus timetable.
Members attending the event will gain free admission to the centre on production of their current membership card but may have to pay the standard admission price of £5 if they do not produce their card.
Please note that the Heritage Centre Hall is not heated and the doors may have to be left open due to Covid precautions so please dress accordingly
Guests and Friends are also welcome to the get-together, but a donation of £2 per person would be appreciated and non-members will have to pay the standard admission charge to the centre.
Confirmed Traders: Contikits, Gerald Savine Prints, Golden Valley Hobbies, Hornby International, NScaleCH, SRS Sales.
In addition there will be a “Bring and Buy” Stall.
Confirmed Layouts: Alpenbahn (25 ft N), Chamossaire (SBB/BLS N), Preuninger Alm (Austrian HOe), Santa Maria (RhB HOm), Model Postbus Display, Italian Railway Society stand and layout.
We do have space available for additional layouts and can help towards expenses – please contact us if you can help.
Swiss Railway Films will be shown in the AGM Area throughout the day.
Tea and Coffee will be available within the exhibition hall and refreshments (hot and cold) can be bought from the Tesco Extra restaurant and store.
Some members of the Management Board will be staying at the Premier Inn – Central Crewe on the Friday night www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/cheshire/crewe/crewe-central.html .
It hoped that members could meet for a chat in the on site pub, the Brocklebank, during the evening.
There are plenty of other hotels in the area.
The September and December issues of Swiss Express included an invitation to members to seek nomination for the posts of Treasurer, Editor and Advertising Director by 31 December. No such nominations have been made so the current post holders will remain in office. The Annual Report is available on the Society’s website and any member without access to the website may request a copy from the Membership Manager at 55 The Boulevard, Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield, B73 5JB, if an A5-sized S.A.E is enclosed.
Heritage Bus Timetable: Depart Crewe Central Premier Inn 09:30 and 10:00
Depart Crewe Station 09:40, 10:10, 10:30, 11:00 and every half hour until 16:00
Depart Crewe Heritage Centre 09:15, 09:45 and every half hour until 15:45
Please note that times are subject to change due to traffic conditions and the operator will take a 30 minute break at some point over the lunch time period.
