SWISS DIESELS SINCE 1900 – By MARTIN FISHER
Having completed the trilogy of books covering Swiss steam and electric motive power over the last 125 years, Martin Fisher has turned his attention to the relatively small number of locomotives and railcars powered by diesel, petrol and gas. This new book follows the previously well tried and tested layout, taking standard gauge and narrow gauge in turn and giving comprehensive details, with illustrations and technical data for every type. There are 275 photographs (90% in colour) within the 120 pages, plus technical drawings, statistical tables and a double-page map of Switzerland. The book is A4 size with card covers and retails for only £19
The book is now on sale from the SRS Shop, click here to buy your copy

GREAT NEWS FROM THE ARCHIVE
The long awaited new viewing platform for the Society Photo Archive is now live. The link to this is in the Members Area on the SRS website, access is therefore restricted to SRS Members, another reason to actually join. So far about 400 photographs have been transferred to it and others will follow frequently, the site allows you to receive notifications if you wish so that you can keep an eye on developments as they progress. All the photographs have been keyworded making a search simple. You can find the date of some of the photos by checking the info panel. Older scanned photos will not have the date as yet but many are available so if you have a specific need or want email me and I’ll do my best to help. The organisation of the photos will develop as time goes on so bear with me and if you have any suggestions or ideas to improve this please let me know. I hope you enjoy browsing through the extensive collection and will continue to revisit as time permits.
