The National Directory of Traditional Railway Societies, published by the Railway Club Directory (RCD), contains details of all traditional railway societies that exist today in the UK today, numbering 125 in total. These range from national societies with thousands of members, to small local village clubs. Each society has at least one page dedicated to it, many with coloured photographs of their magazines. The book may be read together with its related website (www.railwayclubdirectory.com) containing a weekly posting of each society’s meetings and events. Note that model railway clubs and preservation societies are not included.
