Ride with us on the Euro City “Vauban” train along the breathtaking Lötschberg line from Brig, near the Italian border, to Thun in the Bernese Oberland. Along the way we make a diversion along Lake Thun to Interlaken. We look at the history and building of this route with its impressive tunnels and viaducts, take a trip up the Niesen mountain, visit the modern depot at Spiez, and take to the water with some of the BLS fleet of boats, including the restored paddle steamer “Blumlisalp”.
