A ride along the SMB and EBT sections of the Emmental Railways group, now part of the Regionalverkehr Mittelland. The journey begins in the mountains of the Swiss Jura at Moutier, descending to the central plain at Solothurn, before passing along fertile countryside to Thun in the Bernese Oberland. Along the way we explore the ancient city of Solothurn, and visit Burgdorf with its fascinating musical museum. We learn about the history of the railway and see an old steam locomotive in glorious action. Journey’s end is at the shore of Lake Thun with its historic castle. Shot from train, air and trackside.
