Swiss Rail Journeys
Available in: English, German or French
Running Time: 51 minutes
The second part of the journey along the Brünig Line, originally operated by the Swiss Federal Railways, but now part of the Zentralbahn, takes us through the heart of the lakeland country of central Switzerland, from Meiringen over the Brünig pass to the popular tourist city of Luzern. Along the way we visit the shrine of Brüder Klaus, the country’s own saint, and wander around the Cantonal capital of Sarnen, before reaching the beautiful city of Luzern with its painted bridges and charming streets. The Swiss National Transport Museum provides a fascinating chance to view some historic railway stock on display. Shot from train, air and trackside. Informative commentary and music.
