Specialties

Zermatt with its famous mountain, the Matterhorn, is the starting or end point of a trip with the world-famous Glacier Express. We first take the Gornergrat Railway, a cog railway, from Zermatt (1620 m above sea level) up to the Gornergrat at almost 3,100 m above sea level. In the intermediate station Riffelalp we visit Europe’s highest tram. It leads from the station to the Hotel Riffelalp.

In the last driver’s cab film we climb the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn in Zermatt and drive through the Mattertal, one of the narrowest alpine valleys, to Visp, where there is a connection to the SBB. On the DVD / Bluray disc “MGB-Linien II” you can continue your journey with the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn and ride in the driver’s cab as far as Disentis.
