Specialties
We use the two main lines to Chur, the transfer station to the Rhaetian Railway: Zurich – Chur and Chur – St. Gallen. While the route Zurich – Chur leads in a scenic landscape along Lake Zurich and Lake Walen, the route to St. Gallen through the Rhine Valley is mostly straight, but with beautiful views of the mountains on both sides of the Rhine. In St. Gallen we change trains and continue to the railway junction in Winterthur. The first film on this DVD starts at the back in the Glarnerland, in Linthal, and on a bright, cloudless day the journey leads to Rapperswil on Lake Zurich.
