The programme to update the Society’s Swiss Travel Guides in A5 format has now been completed with this new edition of Guide No. 8, Basel & North West Switzerland – which covers not only Basel, the Swiss Jura, Lakes Biel and Neuchâtel but also the area west of Bern extending south to Fribourg.
The booklet has a new map prepared by Bill Salter and has over 170 photos (many being used here for the first time) to illustrate the railways & other forms of public transport and the scenery through which they operate. The general format and subject headings remain as before but the text has been updated (to end 2022) wherever necessary
