The 2022 Warley Show featuring the Society’s belated 40th Anniversary Celebrations.
The Warley Model Railway Show was held at the NEC Birmingham over the weekend of the 26th & 27th November, 2022 and featured a special area given over to the Society to showcase a selection of quality Swiss layouts, and to house the Society’s sales stand in celebration of our special occasion. This should have happened in 2020, but, of course there wasn’t a show in 2020 or indeed 2021. The layouts featured were Bärental and Dorf (RhB HOm) owned by Mike and Steve Ausden, Chlâtère (SBB/SNCF HO) owned by Paul Russenberger, Die Lötschbergbahn (BLS Lötschberg South Ramp N) owned by Alison Poulter, Neuburg 1913 and 2013 (RhB HOm) both owned by Jim Finlayson and Swiss Pass (SBB & RhB HO/HOm) operated by Barrow-in-Furness Model Railway Club. There were detailed description of all of the layouts in the September 2021 & September 2022 issues of Swiss Express. In addition Society Exhibitions Director Simon Ellis exhibited his RhB HOm layout Beckenvick close to our area. We were delighted that Jim Finlayson won the Continental Modeller Cup for the best Continental layout.
